HKT reports solid annual results

In the midst of an increasingly challenging macroeconomic environment and intensified market competition, HKT reported in January solid financial results for the year ended December 31, 2016, which demonstrated the resilience of our core businesses and reflected the strong execution across our operations during the year. Adjusted funds flow for the year increased by 14% to HK$4,683 million.

Together with the Annual Report, HKT has published its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report 2016, which includes information on HKT’s ESG management approach and initiatives.

Papers on mobile spectrum

In order to draw the public’s attention to Hong Kong’s mobile spectrum policies, HKT has issued a series of papers to explain the importance and urgency of Government actions to make available new spectrum and to facilitate Hong Kong’s mobile industry development, including true 5G development. Educating primary school students on caring the community

On January 14, more than 20 colleagues from HKT Commercial Group joined the “Building a Brighter Future for Children with Community Networking” program of Po Leung Kuk. Through role-play and group discussion, they shared with a group of primary school students the importance of sowing “caring seeds” in the community.





Sharing CNY joy with the elderly

On January 21, more than 40 volunteers teamed up with the youth from Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Jockey Club Sha Tin Integrated Services Centre, in a visit to about 80 elderly residents living in Shui Chuen O Estate, Sha Tin, prior to the Chinese New Year.



Green Power Hike

On January 21, about 50 volunteers provided crowd control and logistics services at the 24th Green Power Hike, organized by Green Power. We also reminded hikers not to leave any garbage behind.
