為香港建立智能交通系統

香港電訊支持政府將香港轉化成智慧城市，近日與香港應用科技研究院、華為技術有限公司及Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.創立智能交通聯盟。

通過應用流動車聯網（C-V2X）技術，聯盟將建立一個智能交通系統，讓已連接的車輛互相通訊，或與行人通訊，並能與基建設施同步。此外，一系列智能交通服務，如緊急交通應變警報系統等，可識別潛在的交通風險，提升道路安全，並有利實現自動化駕駛。

Building a smart mobility system for Hong Kong

Supporting the Government's endeavor to transform Hong Kong into a smart city, HKT has formed a Smart Mobility Consortium with the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI), Huawei Technologies Co. Limited and Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.

With the application of Cellular-Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X) technologies, the Consortium will build a smart mobility system which will enable connected vehicles to communicate with one another as well as with pedestrians, and to synchronize with infrastructure. Besides, intelligent transport services such as alert systems for emergency traffic conditions will be introduced. Potential traffic risks can also be identified to enhance mobility safety and make autonomous driving possible.

PCCW Global與珠海大橫琴科技發展有限公司簽署諒解備忘錄，共同將中國的自由貿易試驗區之一橫琴發展為智能城市。
　

PCCW Global將協助設計一個領先全球的智能城市基建，包括營運、資訊及通訊科技顧問，以及地區性的流動付款服務，促使海外企業在橫琴發展。 　

PCCW Global develops services for Hengqin "smart city"

PCCW Global has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Zhuhai Da Hengqin Technology Development Company to jointly develop Hengqin, one of China's Pilot Free Trade Zones, into a smart city.

PCCW Global will assist in the design of world-leading smart city infrastructure, including operations, ICT consultancy, and regional mobile payment services that will facilitate international enterprises for development in Hengqin.

　
場地單車世界錦標賽

香港電訊及The Club成為2017場地單車世界錦標賽香港站的主要贊助商，宣揚單車運動的速度、靈活及堅毅精神。錦標賽將於4月12至16日首次在香港舉行。香港電訊亦贊助香港單車隊的隊衣。
　

UCI Track Cycling World Championships

To promote the spirit of speed, flexibility and perseverance, HKT and The Club are sponsoring the 2017 UCI Track Cycling World Championships – Hong Kong stop which is to be hosted in the city for the first time on April 12-16. HKT has also sponsored the outfits for the Hong Kong Cycling Team.

東華三院慈善障礙挑戰賽

東華三院首度舉辦慈善障礙挑戰賽，為廣華醫院籌募重建發展基金。於2月26日早上，公司七支代表隊成功完成2.5公里的賽事。香港電訊為活動的獎盃贊助及鑽石贊助。

Tung Wah Group of Hospitals Charity Challenge Race

TWGHs organized its first charity challenge race to raise funds for the redevelopment of Kwong Wah Hospital. In the morning of February 26, seven PCCW-HKT teams successfully completed the 2.5km obstacle course. HKT was the Cup Patron and the Diamond Patron of the race.

　
回收舊西裝活動

我們參與地球之友舉行的「Suits for Success」活動，收集到近300件職場衣服及配飾，捐贈予基層畢業生。
　

此外，香港電訊今年繼續支持由世界自然基金會發起的「地球一小時」全球熄燈行動，在3月25日晚上八時半，我們關閉了13座辦公大樓、機樓及專門店的光管招牌及射燈一小時，推廣節能減碳。

Suits for Success

HKT has participated in the "Suits for Success" campaign organized by Friends of the Earth (HK) and collected nearly 300 articles of business clothing and accessories from colleagues for young graduates from underprivileged families.

Besides, we continued our support for the WWF’s Earth Hour campaign this year to promote low-carbon development. Signage lights of 13 of our office buildings, exchanges and shops were switched off at 8:30 pm for an hour on March 25.

香港電訊於2016/17年度再度獲香港社會服務聯會頒贈「商界展關懷」標誌，以表揚我們持續對關懷社區、員工及環境的承擔。
