香港電訊電動方程式

香港電訊電動方程式早前公佈將於10月8至9日舉行的賽事最新詳情，包括票務資料。為迎接本地首屆電動方程式盛事，香港電訊將於7月於中環維港海濱區香港摩天輪舉辦以方程式為主題的嘉年華。參加者除可觀賞表演外，亦可透過大熒幕觀看倫敦賽事，以及品嚐多國美食。

Formula E HKT Hong Kong ePrix

The latest event details on Formula E HKT Hong Kong ePrix to be held on October 8-9, including the race and ticketing arrangements, have been announced earlier. To celebrate the first formula electric racing in Hong Kong, HKT, being its title sponsor, will host a race-themed carnival at The Wheel at the Central Harborfront in July, where participants can enjoy performances, watch replay of the London races on a big screen, and sample a range of international cuisines.

With its innovation capabilities and the successful integration of CSL, HKT has won the top award of Best Asian Telecoms Carrier at the Telecom Asia Awards 2016, as well as the Best Broadband Carrier award for the second consecutive year.

推出虛擬實境教學

HKT education成為香港首家為本港及澳門學校提供虛擬實境（virtual reality, VR）服務方案的供應商，利用Google Cardboard認證的VR檢視器及兼容VR的智能手機，帶來學習及教學虛擬實境體驗。

Pioneering VR in education

Virtual reality (VR) is no longer limited to entertainment use, thanks to the virtual reality (VR) solutions introduced by HKT education for Hong Kong and Macau schools. The solutions offer immersive VR learning and teaching experience with Google Cardboard certified VR viewer devices and VR compatible smartphones.

　
積極培養新一代

香港電訊及其母公司電訊盈科為多間本地大學提供獎學金及助學金計劃逾二十載，早前邀請本年度的受惠學生與集團管理層會面，加強學生與集團的聯繫。

此外，集團將向30位就讀香港專業教育學院（IVE）電訊及網絡科技高級文憑的學生提供為期八個月的在學實習機會。他們畢業後更有優先受聘機會。

Nurturing pillars of our future

HKT and its parent company, PCCW, have been providing scholarship and bursary for students in local tertiary institutions for over 20 years. To build a stronger bond between the students and the Group, this year’s recipients of the PCCW – HKT Scholarship and Bursary were earlier invited to meet our senior management.

Besides, the Group is offering 30 Hong Kong Institute of Vocational Education (IVE) students of Higher Diploma in Telecommunications and Networking eight-month work experience before graduation. Participating students will be given priority for employment opportunities upon their graduation.

多元化義工服務

香港電訊集團董事總經理艾維朗先生帶領超過120名義工及其親友，於6月4日探訪住在黃大仙下邨的長者，並向他們送上糭子，提早慶祝端午節。

此外，義工隊參與了由循道衛理楊震社會服務處舉辦的「喜安心」計劃－家心行動，伙拍長者義工，為彩虹邨長者評估家居安全及跌倒風險，並提供合適的工具，改善生活環境安全。

義工亦參加由保良局舉辦的理財教育活動，透過遊戲及小組討論等環節，協助兒童建立健康的理財概念。

　
Volunteer services benefit different communities

Mr. Alex Arena, Group Managing Director of HKT, led more than 120 staff volunteers and their relatives and friends to visit the aged residents at the Wong Tai Sin Estate on June 4, and brought them rice dumplings to have an early celebration of the Dragon Boat Festival.

Meanwhile, our volunteer team joined the program of “Heart Connection – Home Safety Action” organized by Yang Memorial Methodist Social Service. Joining hands with a group of elderly volunteers, our colleagues conducted assessments on home safety and risks of fall for the elderly residents of Choi Hung Estate, providing them with some household products to enhance their home safety.

Volunteers also helped young children to build up a healthy financial management concept through games and group discussion in a financial education activity organized by Po Leung Kuk.

推動無障礙網頁

於政府資訊科技總監辦公室及平等機會委員會合辦的無障礙網頁嘉許計劃2016中，香港電訊網站hkt.com獲頒「網站銀獎」。香港電訊網站加入無障礙元素，方便訪客瀏覽各項集團資訊。

Promoting web accessibility

The official website of HKT, hkt.com, has received a Silver Award in the Web Accessibility Recognition Scheme 2016 jointly organized by the Office of the Government Chief Information Officer and the Equal Opportunities Commission.
