香港電訊錄得良好年度業績

於2月10日，香港電訊公佈截至2014年12月31日止年度取得良好的財務業績。本年度經調整資金流增加百分之十六至港幣33.54億元。業績穩健增長，主要由於旗下各個業務表現理想，以及於收購CSL後，流動通訊業務成功整合及擴大所帶動。

香港電訊集團董事總經理艾維朗表示：「管理團隊相信，我們已壯大了香港電訊各項業務的根基，並有理由對公司前景持審慎樂觀態度，然而我們亦會時刻警惕，監察及迅速回應外圍環境在2015 年或會出現的任何轉變。」

HKT records strong annual results

On February 10, HKT announced a set of strong financial results for the year ended December 31, 2014. Adjusted funds flow for the year increased by 16% to HK$3,354 million. The results were underpinned by the solid performance of HKT’s various lines of business as well as the successful integration and expansion of the mobile business following the acquisition of CSL.

Mr. Alex Arena, HKT Group Managing Director, said, “The management team believes that we have been strengthening HKT's position across all lines of business and that we have reason to be cautiously optimistic in terms of HKT’s future prospects – but we are acutely aware of the need to monitor and respond swiftly to any changes of the external environment during 2015.”

10G寬頻服務

香港電訊透過其覆蓋廣泛的光纖網絡，為住宅及商業客戶推出10G*寬頻服務，為香港的寬頻網絡發展跨進一大步。

網上行10G PON（無源光纖網絡）服務會在先導階段率先向部份特選客戶提供。全面服務預計於今年第三季正式推出，屆時所有在香港電訊光纖入屋（FTTH）覆蓋範圍內之物業的客戶將有機會享受此極速的寬頻網絡服務。

10G broadband service

HKT has made great strides in Hong Kong’s broadband connectivity service development with the introduction of 10G* broadband service over its extensive fiber network for both residential and commercial customers.

The NETVIGATOR 10G PON (passive optical network) service will initially be provided to select customers in the pilot phase of introduction. Upon its commercial launch targeted in the third quarter of this year, all customers in the premises that are within HKT's FTTH (fiber-to-the-home) coverage will have the chance to enjoy this ultra-fast network speed.

*頻寬規格是指網上行網絡由您住所的數據機的寬頻線連接至第一台網絡器材或機樓之網絡規格。10G光纖入屋寬頻計劃頻寬規格，最高下載及上載頻寬分別為10Gbps。實際速度會低於網絡規格及受您的儀器、技術、網絡及軟件之使用、網絡裝配及覆蓋範圍、使用量、海外頻寬及外在因素而有所影響。
*Bandwidth specification refers to network specifications of the broadband line connected from the modem at your premises to the first piece of network equipment or central office of the NETVIGATOR network. For Fiber-to-the-Home Plans, bandwidth specifications of 10G correspond to a maximum upstream and downstream bandwidth of 10Gbps. The actual speed you experience using the services will be less than the network specifications and affected by your device, technology, network and software used, network configuration and coverage, usage levels, international bandwidth and extraneous factors.

「梁棠書畫展飛進百姓家」展覽

1O1O由即日起至3月15日於1O1O中環旗鑑店舉行「梁棠書畫展　飛進百姓家」展覽，展出香港著名書畫家梁棠老師的作品，供1O1O客戶及公眾人士免費入場。

Masterpieces of Mr. Leung Tong

1O1O presents Calligraphy and Paintings Exhibition by Mr. Leung Tong, a famous local calligrapher and painter, at the Central flagship store until March 15. The exhibition is open to all 1O1O customers and the public.

歲晚送暖

於1月31日，香港電訊的義工探訪近80名居於深水埗白田邨的長者，送上歲晚祝福及禮物包。

Lunar year-end visit to elderly

On January 31, our volunteers visited about 80 elderly residents living in Pak Tin Estate, Sham Shui Po, bringing them gifts and warmth to welcome the Chinese New Year.

環保兵團出動

義工隊於1月31日參加「護理林木日」，為馬鞍山公園附近一個曾被山火燒去大量林木的山坡進行樹苗護理工作，包括除草、施肥、修剪等。

此外，義工隊參與由香港房屋委員會及地球之友合辦的「綠樂無窮在屋邨﹕二手物換物市集」。活動於1至4月在十個屋邨舉行，旨在宣揚減少製造廢物、有效回收的環保訊息。

Sweat for the Earth

Our volunteers joined the “Woodland Conservation Day” on January 31 to do the weeding, fertilizing and pruning works for seedlings planting at Man On Shan Country Park, where part of the land had been rendered barren in a fire previously.

Besides, we have participated in the “Goods Collection and Exchange Days – Second-hand Goods Barter Market” jointly organized by the Hong Kong Housing Authority and Friends of the Earth in 10 housing estates from January to April to encourage waste reduction and effective recycling.
