香港電訊完成收購CSL

香港電訊於5月14日完成了收購CSL New World Mobility Limited (CSL)。香港電訊於去年12月簽署一項協議收購CSL 的全部已發行股本。建議收購於2月獲得電訊盈科及香港電訊股東的批准，其後亦於4月獲得通訊事務管理局的批准。

在完成此項里程交易後，我們會致力將CSL業務與香港電訊進行全面整合，讓我們的流動通訊服務客戶在網絡、銷售渠道及客戶服務方面受惠於兩者結合所帶來的優勢。

香港電訊全體員工以至新加入的同事均對此項公司業務發展感到振奮，並會共同努力，以確保為客戶帶來更優越的流動通訊體驗。

Completion of acquisition of CSL

HKT completed the acquisition of CSL New World Mobility Limited (CSL) on May 14. Last December, HKT entered into an agreement to acquire the entire share capital of CSL. The proposed acquisition was approved by PCCW and HKT shareholders in February, and was approved by the Communications Authority in April.

Following this milestone transaction, our mobile customers will benefit from the combined strengths of our networks, retail channels and customer service when the CSL business is fully integrated into HKT.

All existing and new members of the HKT family are excited about this development, and will work together to ensure our customers have even better mobile experiences.

Our Signature Store in Central has been named a Highly Commended award winner - Retail Interior Hong Kong in the category of Interior Design at the Asia Pacific Property Awards (UK) 2014. The Asia Pacific Property Awards are part of the long-established UK's International Property Awards which are recognized as a symbol of excellence throughout the global industry.
　

全球首個無縫VoLTE服務

香港電訊於5月15日正式推出香港首項VoLTE (Voice over LTE) 服務，可在Samsung Galaxy Note 3 LTE智能電話上使用。使用VoLTE服務可更快速駁通話音通話，容許即時切換話音及視像通話，加強視像通話質量。

World’s first seamless VoLTE service

On May 15, HKT launched Hong Kong's first VoLTE (Voice over LTE) service, which is available via Samsung Note 3 LTE smartphone. VoLTE enables faster voice call set-up and instant switching between voice and video calls, and enhances video call quality.

端陽送暖

於5月31日，香港電訊管理層率領超過70名義工及其親友參加端陽探訪活動，探訪近300名居於黃大仙下邨的長者，向他們送上節日祝福及禮物包。

Share Dragon Boat Festival joy with elderly

On May 31, HKT senior management led more than 70 volunteers and their friends and relatives to visit about 300 elderly residents living in Lower Wong Tai Sin Estate, bringing them gifts in celebration of the Dragon Boat Festival.

資訊科技開放日

為了支持香港世界電訊及資訊社會日，香港電訊響應其資訊科技開放日，於3月29日安排學生參觀設於荔枝角的網管中心及機樓。當天我們舉辦了兩場簡介會，向54名中學生介紹網管中心如何協助監控本公司的電訊網絡運作以及機樓的日常運作，並提供簡短的就業講座。此外，我們亦安排參觀了赤柱的衛星地面站。

香港世界電訊及資訊社會日由香港通訊業聯會主辦，而資訊科技開放日是其標誌性的活動之一，讓學生了解ICT行業的工作環境及前景。

　
ICT Open Day

In support of World Telecommunication and Information Society Day – Hong Kong 2014, HKT arranged a student visit for its ICT Open Day at HKT Engineering e.Centre and exchange in Lai Chi Kok on March 29. During two briefing sessions, we took 54 secondary students through how the center monitors the operation of the company’s telecom networks and how the exchange operates, and gave them a short career talk. We also arranged another visit to the satellite earth station in Stanley.

ICT Open Day is one of the signature programs of WTISD-HK which is hosted by the Communications Association of Hong Kong. It allows students to understand the working environment and prospects of the ICT industry.

商界環保協會交流會

香港電訊最近應商界環保協會邀請參與了該協會舉辦的交流會。香港電訊設施管理總經理伍悅鎮先生，分享了我們在建立綠色及先進電訊網絡的經驗，包括我們在進行網絡現代化期間對實踐可持續發展所作出的努力，並因此而獲香港地球之友頒發節能比賽大獎。

Sharing green practices in BEC Leadership Networking Series

HKT has recently been invited by the Business Environment Council to take part in a sharing session. Giving a talk entitled “Building a Green and Advanced Telecommunication Network”, Mr. Philip Ng, General Manager of Facilities Management, HKT, outlined our efforts in implementation of sustainability during network modernization, which won an energy saving award by Friends of the Earth (HK).
